Surf and Salsa

Surf and Salsa Weekend September 18/19th
We are having our first Surf an Salsa weekend in September. The weekend is all about fun and meeting new people. Some of our Instructors are keen to learn a new skill as well.
As you probably know, salsa is the hot dance sweeping the world, from Cuba to LA to Paris and London. We would like to bring salsa to Bundoran. The package would include an intro salsa class playing tunes of Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, Samba etc...we will bring the Latin flavour to the surf city
We will have a surf session during the day on Saturday and in the evening we will have the Salsa class in a local hotel. After the Salsa class we aim to hit the Bridge Bar before hopefully showing off our new dance steps on the town. An optional surf is available on the Sunday if your keen.
The class will be a fun and enjoyable class. We will go through all the basic steps that will allow the students to start dancing straight away. We will also do some animation using latin pop music to keep the flow going. No partners are necessary, you can come solo. The class will be approx 1hr. It's a good opportunity to try something new and different and also a way to get to know people.
The surf and salsa classes cost €50 for both with the option of a surf on the Sunday for an extra 25euros. We are also doing Surf/Salsa and accommodation packages in the lodge for 90 (dorm)/100 (private room). If you have a group we can arrange self catering packages for a similar price.

Weekend Surf Forecast

The swell has dropped off this week but there should be a small pulse with light winds for the weekend at Tullan. There is a small clean westerly swell that should pulse in 2 foot waves at Tullan the light winds should make nice conditions. The big tides should also help things producing hollow small peaks at the cliff on low and longer walls down the beach at high. Hard to read the size of the swell but i think it will be a little bigger on Sunday with light offshores.Tullan will be the best spot all weekend, there is perfect learner waves but there should also be a few sets for the shortboarders. fingers crossed Happy surfing.
